Something beautiful #1

So I wanted to start up something that I did every night while I was on my Servant Team in Nepal. Every night, as we were lying in our beds, Kipp would ask “Guys, what did you see beautiful today?” And we would talk for ten or fifteen minutes before we drifted off about the beauty we had seen – amidst the brokenness, the darkness. I want to start doing that w/ ya’ll. I don’t know that it will be every day, but a few times a week. Here goes…

Today I was down in Lapa. I was talking to this French lady who works w/ another project nearby when Jeferson walked up to us. He looked at her, and asked “Do you know my dad?” She smiled and shook her head. At which point, Jeferson gives me a big hug, and says, “This is him.” And I smiled, and did my “Aw, shucks” grin, cause I’m a guy… but inside, I was dancing and crying and jumping and flying. It made my day, and it was beautiful.
