Bernadette

We left the restaurant full and tired, laughing and rambling down the sidewalk, enjoying the bite of the fall air.  I saw the two young women in front of me, stop, turn, retrace their steps, and engage Bernadette in conversation.  I couldn’t make out what they were saying, but I saw furtive smiles and averted glances as they leaned into the conversation.  A few words, a touch on the arm, a sharing of some pad thai, and the moment was gone.  It was beautiful.

What did you see beautiful today?
